The moment I got to New York, I immediately thought of a ton of outfit ideas that I wanted to try out once I got back to California! There are so many cute options when it comes to clothing we can wear during the winter, but living in sunny CA, we barely get the chance to get out our winter “coats” before it is time to put them away. Soon as I got back home, I was on a mission to bring some of my winter outfits to life, and good thing I did because it has been chilly and rainy since I got back home!!
Immediately, I fell in love with this wool maxi coat! Look how stinking cute it is!! I love that is has a good amount of structure, while still managing to be cozy. Often times with jackets that I try on, it either is a little too structured and not super comfortable, or comfortable but a bit too casual – this is the perfect mix of both! The length allows you to throw it over pretty much any outfit to keep you warm, especially if you have any sort of trek to the office (or to the grocery store!). It comes in three different colors, and I love them all! This is the color called Glacier. I think one of my very favorite parts about it, is that it just feels so versatile!
1. NECKLACE | 2. GREY COAT | 3. SWEATER DRESS | 4. BOOTS | 5. BAG | 6. ROSE RING
Another amazing piece that I found is this sweater dress – and it’s under $50!! It is so soft and extremely flattering. As you know, I’ve got some extra love around my tummy area (It’s extra squishy!), but this dress completely hides that! I love sweater dresses, so whenever I see them online I tend to buy them up so that I can try them on. A problem that I often have is that they hug me in all the wrong places, but not this one! It makes me feel so good!!! It is perfect to wear in the chilly weather we have out here, and if you live in a cooler climate than I do, you could always add some tights to the look for some extra warmth! The black is low in stock, so grab it while you can! It also comes in red, which you could pair with some nude heels or booties and a plaid scarf. Also, if you are a fan of a red sports team, it would be a super cute outfit to wear on game day with a pair of sneakers!
1. NECKLACE | 2. GREY COAT | 3. SWEATER DRESS | 4. BOOTS | 5. BAG | 6. ROSE RING
Here I’ve paired the sweater dress with some black boots. I am not kidding when I tell you that I have had my eye on boots like this for years! I can’t even tell you why I’ve waited to long to buy them, they are so affordable!! I have a few other pairs of knee high boots, and often would wear them with my outfits. I kept seeing other friends post photos wearing knee high boots, and whenever I would try to pull together a similar outfit, it just didn’t look as good as it did on them. And then I realized… it’s THE BOOTS. I am so happy that I finally realized and decided to get them! They are form-fitted toward the top, and somehow they make me feel and look skinnier! Ha! They lay at the perfect spot above your knee, and causes the illusion of longer and thinner legs – which I know that I appreciate! They are currently on sale and there is an additional 10% code if it is your first order! I also paired this outfit with a black satchel purse, my Date Night Necklace and the Rose Ring. The Ralph Lauren bag in the photo is no longer available, but I found a super similar one for you that is on sale!

I hope this has helped inspire you to bring out those cute winter outfits or pick up a few staples! There is still so much time left this season to feel chic and cozy! I wish that sweater weather happened a few times a year!
Anyways, I’m heading out to a yoga class, and I am so excited! As you all know, I have been a little down lately, and I am thinking that getting in some physical activity might do just the trick! Are any of you starting back on some old habits or hobbies this new year? I’d love some more inspiration from all of you! Let me know below :

Will you be blogging about this season of the Bachelor?
I was just about to ask the same thing! I love reading her take on the episodes each week!!! ❤️
I forgot to watch last night. I am going to try to start to blog starting next week!
Yay!! That makes me happy. I feel like you always have great perspective on the girls. I’m not sure what I think about most of them yet. They keep referring to some of them as cougars…the oldest girl there is 31. That’s NOT a cougar!!!! I’m a few years older than that so I was like oh no way!! Haha. I also wanted to applaud you for getting out and going to yoga. Whenever I feel down, as hard as it is, getting in some physical activity seems to help. Even if it’s just a little bit our bodies (and most importany minds) need it! “Me time” is so important for moms. Glad you are starting to feel better.
Love the outfit! I’m tempted to buy the sweater dress because of the post baby pooch! I was actually thinking the same – will you be blogging about the Bachelor?
I just left the same question on the last post. Please say yes!
Oh gosh, your coat is everything, Ali! I love the look of it all buttoned up! It’s so unique 🙂 ❤️

You look terrific in this outfit, Ali! Here’s to you for going to a Yoga class, too! I hope trying to get some me time for exercise will help elevate your mood!❤️
I am soooo glad I went today. I felt so much better afterwards!
Will you be blogging about this season of the Bachelor?! I live for your blogs!!
You need to represent Nordstrom’s clothes, you make them look SO much cuter then advertised! 💃🏻
I really like this outfit – it’s trendy yet classic!
I also have a question for you – what do you think of the sweatshirt with sequin sleeves that you got from Walmart last month? I bought it too, and I’m curious if you’re liking it!
Would you say the boots run true to size? Love them!
Thanks!
They do! I am obsessed!!!!
Great outfits. How have you lost the baby weight? Also, are you covering the bachelor this season? I miss your funny comments!
Love this outfit and glad to see you back on social media.
Where did you get Molly’s black tutu dress?? Love!
Ali I love your style, everything looks so great on you and love how you look in this outfit!! It is super cute on you! I love sweater dresses, but although the turtle neck looks so great, I find it too warm for the California weather.. would love to see similar dresses with a different neckline (boat or v neckline). Unfortunately the beautiful jacket is already sold out..
Is the coat itchy? I usually find wool uncomfortable
